Who Are You?

How long have you been making music?

Wave : I have been making music for awhile now. Even without recording, I used to freestyle a little bit. My big brother put me on when I was 12 or so. After that, I kind of just carried on the hobby. My first time recording was freshman year of high school, I had a friend from class who invited me over to his house to rap. It’s actually a funny story about how it came about. We were in a digital media class creating websites for an assignment. I posted up a picture of logic on my website in the inspiration section (this was during the Faze trickshot era of MW2, good times). He saw the picture, looked over at me, and asked, “Yo, can you rap?”. I said “yes”, the rest was history. We went to his house and recorded some stuff. This was a super fun era of recording for me. There aren’t many living files from then, but I have a few. My music got a lot better when I learned how to mix myself. A huge turning point was in 2018 when someone bought me FL Studio as a gift, but that is a story for another time.

What do you in your free time?

Wave: My main hobbies are going to the gym, playing video games, and making digital art. Sometimes I have to buy groceries, but I’m not sure if that is considered free time (lol). When it comes to doing things, I’m pretty open. I figure I only have one life, so, I’ll leave a lot on the table if I’m not willing to try new things.

Any new releases coming soon?

Wave: Yes, I have some cool videos to match too.

Fun Fact?

Wave: I graduated college and have a B.A.

Favorite Food?

Wave: This is a hard one, my taste is always changing. I would love to do a travel show like Action Bronson one day. For a guilty pleasure, I love McDonalds (their burgers specifically). Steak and Sushi are some of my other favorites.

Where can people find you?

Wave: Spotify, youtube, and instagram mostly. You might also find me at the home studio.

Wave: My music is mostly influenced by the people I interact with in real life. I come up with lyrics on the spot pretty quickly. My memory is the first thing that I look to for that. However, in terms of other artists, I have a really broad range. I always thought I would just have a taste for music. The fact that I’ve made music that people enjoy still surprises me. Sometimes, I’m not sure how I got here. Some of my favorite artists are Oliver Francis, Jay-Z, Mac Miller, Nascar Aloe, Skizzy Mars, Croosh, KYLE, Jeremih, atlas, All American Rejects, XXXTentacion, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Drake, Earl Sweatshirt, Goldlink, Frank Ocean, Felly, Logic, $NOT, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Soulja Boy, Tame Impala, and Blink 182.. The list goes on and on. I plan to branch out to other styles of music. I just won’t self-release any of that until I like it.

Favorite song you’ve made?

Wave: It depends on how I’m feeling. I have a bunch of unreleased old songs I listen to at random. They always remind me of how I was feeling when I made them. That is one of the most bittersweet feelings there is. That is for sure my favorite part of my own music.

What do you want people to know about you about you?

Wave: I’m not sure. This question puts me in a paradox. In a sense, I want people to know things about me. But also, I want them to form their opinions on me however they see fit.

Favorite Cartoon?

Wave: Spirited Away, if that counts. I watched it when I was younger and the art mesmerized me. I don’t even remember the plot that much. Regardless, I always go back to it for some reason. I think it was the first time I saw imagination come to life in such an amazing way.

If you could have a special power what would it be & why?

Wave: I wish I could will myself into an intense unbreakable focus at any time. This would be so cool and help me learn a bunch of new things. Thanks to everyone who read this and listens to my music!
