Meet R4ID: AZ’s prodigious producer

R4ID is a multi-talented and unique producer/engineer born in North Dakota, but raised Arizona. Blending the industrial sounds of distorted basslines, EDM-like transitioning, and boom bap percussion rhythms; R4ID has a sound unlike any other producer out currently. He’s currently CRUELKAME‘s exclusive producer but has worked with other artists and plans to diversify his sound and portfolio more in the future.
The CRUELR4ID EP displays some of R4ID’s best work. It’s short but packed with unreplicable sound and energy. CRUELKAME and R4ID make for a legendary duo who have already begun to shape the sound of the underground. They plan on releasing CRUELR4ID 2 in 2021.
Currently he’s working on a project titled “Smart EP” inspired by artists like Flying Lotus, Ivy Lab, + Tsuruda. It’s going to be a combination of chill lo-fi, trippy beats, and hard hitting bass.
