Interview with CAIRO!

Whats your name?

CAIRO! – My name is CAIRO! I get a lot of questions as to why I picked this name as my artist name, but it’s actually my real name. I chose to just use my real name as my artist name because I wanted my art to be a true representation of me

How Old Are You?

CAIRO! – I just turned 23

How long have you been making music?

CAIRO! – I started making beats back in 2016, I was just producing for a long time but I was struggling to make a living off of it, so I started rapping and singing about 2 years ago. I lowkey wanted to rap the whole time I was making beats but honestly was too shy to do it

Have any future goals related to your music?

CAIRO! – I honestly want to take this as far as I can take it. Whether that just be millions of plays on my songs, or number 1 songs and number 1 albums for decades. I’m not gonna stop doing this until I’m bored of it regardless of where I end up with it. I love it, it saved my life.

Favorite Cartoon?

CAIRO! – My favorite Cartoon will always be Spongebob, with fairly odd parents up next, but my favorite anime is tied between DBZ and Naruto Shippuden (I know basic as f*ck but they’re the biggest for a reason)

Favorite food?

CAIRO! – Damn, I’d have to say for Dinner it’s gotta be Curry Chicken and Roti but for breakfast I love waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. I also eat toasted peanut butter and banana sandwiches everyday lol

Describe What Genre your music is?

CAIRO! – I’m very versatile when it comes to the type of music I make. I grew up listening to so many different genres and time periods of music so I always bring a little bit of that into what I’m doing today. But I guess I mainly make Alternative R&B and Rap/Trap music. You never know with me though, I have ADHD so I get bored easily and I’ll be making something you’ve never heard from me before all the time.

What advice would you give to aspiring artists?

CAIRO! – Stick with it If this is what you really want, and this is what you really love then you will find your place, and the people will find you as well. Be consistent and always strive to be better but don’t beat yourself up too much. Make the music that you want to make and tell your own story through your music, don’t just make what everybody else is making because it won’t last and you will be just another crab in the bucket

Anything you want to tell the people?

CAIRO! – Thank you to all my fans/supporters. I love you guys so much can’t even exaggerate, S/O to all my fans from overseas as well as back home in the US and Canada, I’ve been promising you guys an EP for a while now so I’m dropping it this October! Also maybe you’ll get to see the music video for Fresh! soon, real soon
